as a sorta-post-mortem to the thing I did yesterday: since it affected only docker, mastodon was fine.
The problem is apparently a bug in the linux kernel where NFS versions newer than 4.0 may cause the NFS mount to lock up. There seems to be no fix but to permanently lock clients to 4.0 on the NFS mount.
It should be fixed now. I added some new monitoring shit in the meantime so I can keep an eye on the free disk space and load on the server.
